"instructive without being intimidating"
Robin,
Frank and I have been looking at and reading your book and find our mouths
dropping open at the interesting way you presented it. You are instructive
without being intimidating, humorous but with a point, and helpful without
trying to show off what you know in an egotistical way. The hours that you spent
writing this book must be in the thousands. One gets the feeling of having a
heart-to-heart talk with you on the ins and outs of baseball while at the same
time your pointing out the hilarious things that happened to you.
We wish every kid who is serious about playing ball could have a copy of this
manual. We would strongly encourage the coaches and parents to read the book
right along with the team members.
The tributes you paid your parents and t! he acknowledgements given to those
who helped you also are such fine gestures. Your Dad must be smiling his head
off with pride and pleasure to know what you have done to be of help to others
in such a real way.
