FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Book on Coaching & Learning Baseball

Colorado Author Robin Carlsen releases first edition
of "Give The Game Back To The Kids"

March 21, 2004 -- The first edition or Robin Carlsen's book just became available, along with a web site (http://www.GiveTheGameBackToTheKids.com) where internet surfers can go to find a sample chapter and dust cover information about the book.  The title tells it all:  Robin's desire to see that the game of baseball be given back to the kids.  To this end, he discusses all the facets of baseball that a coach of a youth baseball team may encounter, from dealing with parents and spectators to instructional drills that hone the skills of the young players.  All aspects of the game are covered in sufficient detail (along with illustrations) that anyone who picks up this book will instantly be able to start coaching.

This book has two primary target audiences:  the coaches/parents and the players.  This makes sense just from the fact that many youth baseball coaches are in fact parents who have been "volunteered" into coaching duties.  Coaches and parents will find the detail in the book easy to follow even if they have never coached before.  From a player's perspective, the book provides a unique and detailed view of how each position fits into the overall game, with emphasis on how to enjoy winning when you win and how to learn from your losses.  This book will give the knowledge and confidence to both players and coaches alike, with the result that everyone will enjoy the game as never before.

Spectators can also achieve a win from reading this book by learning the intricacies of strategy that play out in every baseball game played in the major and minor leagues.  These same strategies are the essence of the game that coaches and players must master to really enjoy the game, and are detailed and diagramed in this book.
